Maggie Jackson and Jim Colwell: A Teacher’s Handbook of Death –
The Teacher’s Handbook of Death is a short read, this book describes the process of death and how to teach them to students. It includes teaching techniques and tools as a general resource for teaching about death.

National Alliance for Children’s Grief: Homepage –
The National Alliance for Children’s Grief website provides support and resources for children and families who are grieving including direct support, how to talk to children about death, and local support providers. They also hold events monthly teaching all kinds of topics, not limited to death and dying.
PBS: Teachers Guide: Grief Elementary K-5 –
A trusted staple, PBS created a PDF which contains about an hour-long activity to do with students when teaching about death. It is a play that the students are able to perform and questions to supplement.

Rainbows for All Children supports children through grief as well as divorce, incarceration, and abandonment. They facilitate peer support groups and provide resources for individuals.
SHAPE America: How to Teach Students About Death in the Health Education Classroom (Or Any Classroom) –
SHAPE America gives a general overview of the importance of teaching death to students and other resources that may be helpful. It stresses the fact that many students experience the death of someone around them at a young age, and it’s a teacher’s job to help support them. It includes age-appropriate materials and several resources for activities.
